How does it work?
Hypnotherapy is a safe and non-intrusive therapy. All you need is yourself and your wonderful mind! By using progressive muscle relaxing techniques and deepeners that are all tailored to each individual, I the therapist, will write a script unique to you and your symptoms. During deep relaxation, I will make suggestions to your subconscious mind, addressing the areas you are struggling with and encouraging a new and more positive approach. Roughly a few sessions can really make a difference and give you the confidence to practise some of the relaxation exercises yourself at home.
Hot Flushes
In a session you may be asked to imagine stepping into a cool sea, or stand on an imagery beach with a cooling breeze blowing past you. When hot flushes strike at work or in the night, by visualising this body-cooling sensation can lead to actual relief of symptoms.
Sleeplessness
Imagine a dolphin diving into the sea and swimming in the cooling water. Graceful and elegant, calm and serene. Imagery such as this can be incorporated into your scripts to encourage deeper relaxation and support drifting back to sleep. By practising similar relaxation techniques, it can encourage deeper hypnotic states and quicker results. What you learn in the sessions can become your tool at home or work as well.
What other symptoms of menopause and perimenopause can benefit from hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy can support coping with those symptoms above but also confidence, anxiety, worry, identity, and pain. In fact, lack of a good sleep can have many repercussions in your life and consequently trigger some of these other symptoms. This is another stage in your life and one to embrace.
Post menopause, many women find they develop a bigger confidence in themselves. You can find out who are and what you want and naturally care less about what others may think. You can draw up on your life experience and contribute to the world around you in a way that feels meaningful and satisfying and rewarding.
But my question to you is why wait to you are post menopause? Why not try hypnotherapy and work on developing a more positive approach?

Menopause!
Throughout life, we go through many changes, and with those changes come side effects! Remember moving into your teens and the panic of fitting in, looking right, saying the correct thing, controlling spots and so much more. Well, menopause is another one of those phrases. As women of a certain age, we either hear how wonderful you can feel afterward or how the physical, emotional, and mental symptoms can be so tough. Whilst hormone treatments have their place, alternative therapies such as hypnotherapy can help to reduce the side effects and boost your confidence.
